Hipmunk: Visual Flight Search Results
What’s cool about Hipmunk (besides the stellar flying-ace chipmunk) is that you can sort your results not only by price, duration and layovers, but also by agony: an amalgamation of duration, layover time and price.
Personally, I don’t find sites like Sidestep all that complicated, but seeing a diagram of just how long I’ll be sitting on my ass, relative to overall travel time, is both bracing and fascinating. Pricewise, I don’t see Hipmunk’s results as being all that different from its competitors, but Hipmunk is extremely basic in its layout, and wisely presumes that the user will ignore the overly-expensive or -complex flight options.
Hipmunk’s best feature, in my opinion: you’re able to keep multiple searches going at once, rather than duplicating it across redundant browser tabs.

Hipmunk: showing you how crazy you are to book long-haul flights.
